30 - 40 mm wide, pale yellow to pale greenish yellow at first, sometimes developing brown to dark brown stains with age, hemispheric at first, then convex to broadly convex; context white, 1 - 2 mm thick at stipe, thinning evenly to margin; margin nonstriate, inflexed at first, nonappendiculate or appendiculate with small fragments of partial veil; universal veil as irregular patches (white, becoming brown, friable) or as reddish brown fibrils, detersile. |
